Jennifer Abadesso is a 26 year old Luso-Canadian singer/songwriter who hails from Toronto, Ontario. Jennifer has expressed a vested interest in humanitarian causes – most notably her 2006 musical project for the Canadian Cancer Society. Alongside her musical endeavours, which include the release of her self-titled 2004 CD debut, Jennifer has dabbled in her second passion – writing.
NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS ^^: * Garnered a spot in the top ten in CIRV 88.9 FM's Song Festival * Recorded her self-titled debut in 2004 - which included seven self-composed (English) tracks * Has performed at various charity events most notably Richard J. Adkin's fundraiser/exhibit at ACA Gallery * Penned/recorded a song in response to her father's adversities with cancer entitled "This Time", which was subsequently promoted with the aid of the Canadian Cancer Society during their "Relay for Life", whereby 100% of the proceeds went directly to the Canadian Cancer Society* * Appeared on Portugal no Coração; performed three songs on two subsequent episodes of the popular RTP program, broadcast to millions worldwide.
